A Hobby of Mine

My hobby is to write. It's either poems or a short stories. Right now I'm working on writing a book and hope to one day get it published. I honestly did not know what to write here so I thought why not put up one of my many works that I have written. I would love to read your thoughts on my poem. Thank you and enjoy.

This was poem I did one day for class in High School.

Forsaken Love

She stood alone in the darkness,

As the words fell from his lips.

Tears formed around her hazel eyes,

As memories flooded her mind over and over again.

She felt so torn apart, how much she wasted her time

To get him into her arms.

Right now some girl was holding him,

His eyes twinkle with happiness.

She couldn't hold it anymore.

Her mind went back to the first day they met.

He was her new neighbor; she smiled as he walked up the steps.

At the age of five, she knew they were going to be best friends.

At the age of twelve, hormones raced and they were fights about

One an other's partner. They would have their arguments and make up.

At the age of sixteen, the love she had for him grew.

Her crush for him was like that sun every morning, beaming happily.

Did she dare tell him how she felt....

Never.

Now the day she feared has arrived, and he was getting married.

His future holds so much greatness with the other women.

He smiles toward her way, looking into her eyes. He saw the pain inside of her.

She gave him that smile, the last smile, before she went away.

In the end of everything, both of them looked away..

They held the same thought...

I was forever in love with you.
